San Antonio is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around San Antonio is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. I love this garden center. First of all it's locally owned by the same family for many many years. I love to support small businesses and I know that you people do too, so rather than go to Lowe's or Home Depot, this is my choice for all things related to my garden. They lean heavily to the organic end of the gardening spectrum. Their plants and products are a bit pricier than their corporate rivals, but the plants have always thrived. And been good for me as well as my pollinators. They carry Fox Farm products as well as some excellent local products. Nice folks. Great little gem of a place.

This garden center is the best and most vast I've been too. All the different plants amazed me with their beauty. I was mistaken for a worker because I was wandering around away from my family. I am autistic so I was very nervous but it was nice to just help. There were 2 cats I saw and that is very crucial to me (I'm a cat lover and owner). I don't know if they were strays, but I got to pet one. The one I pet was orange and very kind. It did have a tiny lump on its neck and that's my only concern (I was leaving so I never got to ask if it was a stray or not) but the experience is top tier.

A friend told us about this garden center. We had never heard of it. This is like the best kept secret garden center in all of San Antonio. My wife and I spent the better part of 2 hours just walking through this amazing place. Worth the time and effort to find this place. Everything was reasonably priced.

Wow! A beautiful and complete garden center on the Eastside of San Antonio. Fanicks Garden Center has everything you need. Walking the ground is relaxing and it feels like a park. They had plants, soil, chemicals and expert advice. Prices were very reasonable. The staff member I spoke to was professional and knowledgeable. We had a great experience. My wife can't wait to go back again.

What a hidden gem on the Southeast side of town. Definitely worth the drive out. Arguably the best garden and nursery center in town, I was very happy and impressed to stumble onto this establishment, which has been open for years. It is down a neighborhood street, but don't worry about parking as there is ample room. They have everything from trees to cacti, water features to animal sculptures. The staff is super friendly. Don't forget to ask about their frequent buyer rewards card. If you garden or plan to start, this must be on your list of nurseries to visit in San Antonio.
